I can not believe that the first year of Cater's life is almost over. On Saturday our sweet baby girl will be one year old! This year has been such an amazing time for Jason and I! We have enjoyed every moment this past year learning how to become parents. Cater Ann you made us a mommy and a daddy and we cherish every ounce of you! We love seeing how happy you are to see us in the morning. It really makes the mornings so wonderful!! You teach us new things everyday and we look forward to all the things we will learn from you. Jason went out of town this weekend to a basketball coaching clinic in Tunica for the weekend. He goes every year except last year due to Cater being born. For those that do not know Tunica is a small city in Mississippi about 15 minutes from Memphis with several casinos! I am sure he hated to leave Cater and I! I will say I have made him feel a little guilty for leaving on mother's day but I am just joking. Everyday Jason treats as mothers day. He is so very selfless all the time and always lets me know how loved I am and how much he appreciates me. He takes on just as much at home as I do and never complains. I am so very lucky to have such an amazing husband, partner and best friend!! We sure did miss him and I know he missed us but we had such a good weekend. On Friday afternoon we went to the grocery store then came home and played outside. On Saturday morning I got some great snuggle time in and then we were off for our 1 year pictures with our smash cake. So much fun. We did a little shopping at Target and then came home for bed. On Sunday Jason called and let me know that Cater had called him and told him that she hid a gift for me. Such a smart girl. I got a charm for my charm bracelet from James Avery(can't wait for the Franklin, TN store to open up we do not have one in TN yet) that is a heart that says mommy I love it! Cater and I then headed to my awesome sister in laws house where she well Norm her husband made me and my mother in law a brunch! It was such a treat. Cater and I did a little more shopping and had some snuggle time before daddy came home. I did miss Jason so very much but it was so nice to have some time with just Cater and I. Cater, you made me a mommy almost one year ago. You are the light of my life and being a mother is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. You bring a smile to my face when I think about you and make everyday such a joy! I love you more than you will ever know and thank God everyday that he trust me to be your mommy! Thank you for such a fun weekend!!

4-24 was a big day for Miss Cater. She had her last bottle. We had been down to one bottle at night for about 2 weeks and she was drinking milk from a cup all day. I spent the whole day with my wonderful friend Brandy shopping, having lunch and seeing a movie. I was not sure I would make it back in time for bedtime routine however I did and even though I had given her bottle the night before and it was Jason's turn he wanted me to do it. Wonderful husband. And yes I wanted to cry because Jason is so selfless and because Cater is getting so big. A few weeks ago she took her brush from me and started brushing her own hair. Who did she get so big?

34 years ago today my amazing husband was brought into this world. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful partner in life. Jason I love you more than words can ever express and thank God everyday that we met! You bring so much happiness to my life and the way Cater looks at you makes my heart melt every time. Cater has such a wonderful father figure in her life and I can not wait to see your relationship grow with her as she get older. Only you can make her laugh the way she does. We are so blessed to have you as a father and a husband!

This was the weather all weekend!

Poor Jason had a rainy birthday weekend. And all the flooding that is going on around us. It is very sad. We are very lucky that Lewisburg has not been hit with the floods but we are so very sad for all of our surrounding counties! Please keep Middle TN in you prayers.

Jason's giant cupcake his sister made for him. We had a birthday celebration at his sister's new home on Saturday but Nana and Pop (Jason's parents) could not make it as the road was closed due to the weather.

11 Months 4-15-10

I can believe that Cater is 11 months old. How did that happen? Cater is impressing us more everyday with all that she is learning. She took her brush the other night and started brushing her hair. It made me tear up! She is walking so well with her walker and I am ok with her taking a little longer before she does it all on her own. I love how she sits on the floor and holds her hands up while bouncing up and down because she wants to be picked up. I love how she lays her head on my shoulder. I love how she pats you when you hold her. I love how every morning we wave bye to daddy at the door and she squeals and blows kisses. I love how she jumps up and down when we go in her room in the morning. Cater drinks great from a sippy cup without handles. She drinks about 8-12 ounces a day of whole milk. Cater goes to bed between 5-6 and sleeps until 6-7. She takes 2 naps a day 1 for about 45 minutes in the morning and one in the afternoon for about an hour and a half. Cater loves to eat avocados, bananas, any kind of cracker, cheerios, yogurt and ground turkey. She still loves us to feed her baby food. Cater is happy even when tired and only really cries when something is very wrong. At her babysitter she loves to give loveys to her friends Heath, Carolyn and Lauren and hugs them all the time. Cater is a lover! Cater we love you more than you will ever now (until you have your own). We are so proud of you and are blessed at how much meaning you have brought to our lives!

Jason 1st tournament game was Wed 3-17-10. We played Tyner Academy. Jason won 60-61 in overtime. It was a crazy game and many choice words were said!

After the win!

The next game was Friday 3-19-10. We played Bolivar Central(who we lost to last year in the sub-state game) and we lost to them in overtime. 58-64. We were ahead the whole game but had major foul trouble and most of our starters were fouled out in the 4th. Had we won we would have played for the state title on 3-18-10. But it was a great season. Jason went further than he thought and got some great experience. I am beyond proud of him! He is a excellent teacher, coach, husband and most of all Dad!! Cater and I are so in love with you Jason and so very thankful you are part of our family!! We love you! Overall record for 2009/2010 27-6!! Pretty Damn good!!

10 Months 3-15-10

Let see we left off when Jason made it to the state tournament. The Monday before the tournament Cater turned 10 months old. At 10 months Cater is keeping us on our toes. She is into everything and a wiggle worm. The basketball games were changeling with her. Thank goodness for Nana who would hold her so I could watch. Cater loves to crawl after us all over the house. She loves to play ball and wave hi and bye. She loves her daddy and squeals when she sees him. Cater is such a joy and we fall more in love with her everyday!

Jason and his Tigers beat MLK last evening in our home gym by 9. We were up the whole game however at halftime it was only by 1. I for sure was on the edge of my seat. This means that the Tigers are in the state playoffs. This is a first time for Jason as the head coach of the Marshall County Tigers. He goes on Saturday to draw for who and when we play. We will either play Wed 3-17 in the evening or Thurs 3-18 in the day. We will have to win to advance to the next game which will be held on Fri 3-19 and then win that to make it to the championship game held on Sat 3-20. My fingers are crossed that he will draw a team out of East Tennessee instead of Memphis. I am so proud and excited for Jason and the Tigers. I had tears in my eyes when the buzzer went off as I knew at that moment my husbands dream was a reality to him. Jason has turned the basketball program at MCHS around and has been able to advance one step further every year he has been here. I am so lucky to have such an amazing partner in my life and cherish the moment when with 50 seconds left to play he turned around to the stands to find me and say I love you! I love that Jason does that to the games that Cater and I go to or when I am not at the game and have to listen to it on the radio and Jason always gives a shout out to me. He never thinks of just himself. Jason, Cater and I are so proud of you and are so blessed to be a part of this amazing experience. We are your biggest fans and can't wait to cheer you and the Tigers on at MTSU next week. I love you more than words can say and thank God everyday for bringing us together that August night in Destin!

2009-2010 Basketball Record today stands at 26-5. The Tigers are undefeated in district for the season.(They beat every district team 2 times during the season) And our district has an even number of teams so we did not get a by during district tournament. We came in 2nd losing to Spring Hill. But it did not matter as we still advanced. We then played 2 Regional games and the 3rd game left us playing Spring Hill again fighting for Regional Champs and hosting the Sub-State game. We beat them! Making Marshall County Tigers Regional Champs! The coach of the year 3rd year in a row will be coaching his team including a finalist for Mr. Basketball on Monday night at home against MLK. Jason started at Marshall County in the 2006-2007 school year as head coach. Since that time the Tigers have advanced one step further every year and the last 3 years Jason has received coach of the year with the only vote against him being his own. Jason has a player on his team who is an 11th grader that has scholarship offers from all over and is a finalist for Mr. Basketball.

On top of coaching Jason also teaches US History and is ranked in the top 90% for passing state test scores. This school year has been very different with our sweet little Cater bug. Jason not only coaches and teaches well he also is a #1 dad! Jason picks Cater up around 330 everyday and many times takes her to the basketball gym while he works with his team. He has even had a practice with Cater in the baby bjorn. Jason is home every night but game nights helping put Cater to bed then often works late watching film or scouting. I do not know how he does it. Cater and I are so very lucky to have such a wonderful dad and husband in our lives. Cater and I are so proud of you Jason. Thank you for doing all that you do, for sacrificing for the better of our family, for being our biggest support, for always helping at home, for never complaining, for loving us and for picking me! We are your number one fans and love you more than you will ever know. Cater and I could not be more proud of you!!

I can not believe Cater is 9 months old. Where has the time gone? She is the best thing that has ever happened to us and we can not imagine life without her. Cater is always very happy. She has a pleasant laid back spirit. She sleeps 12-13 hours a night. And when she wakes up in the morning she plays in her bed. She eats 3 baby food meals a day and loves puffs and Cheerios. She is drinking water out of a sippy cup and sometimes milk. She mostly throws the milk on the floor. I hope she soon starts to like milk in the cup because the day she is 1 goodbye bottle. I will be happy to get rid of the bottles but sad that she will be 1. Cater is all over the place. She turned 9 months on 2-15 and on 2-19 she began crawling. She now is everywhere. You can not turn your back for a second. What a joy it is to see your child reach such a big milestone however I can not get over that she can crawl already. Did we not just come home from the hospital with her? We are enjoying this new phase and look forward to all that comes next. She is also pulling up on everything. It is very funny to watch.

Texas

Cater and I were so excited because we were taking a trip to Texas to see Emmie and Grandad. I was packed and ready to go when I saw that the DFW area was getting snow. But it was just snow and I thought for sure it would be no big deal. Our flight was set to leave at 6 pm on Thursday evening and who would have known that it would be canceled at 9 am in the morning. I was so upset. I was looking forward to seeing my parents and for them to see Cater. I was also very excited to see my sweet niece Dylan who I have not seen since the day she was born. I cried hard for the first time in a long time. But I did book a flight out for the next morning. And of course that was canceled before we went to bed. So instead Cater went to Nana and Pops on Saturday late afternoon and stayed until Monday morning. That is the longest we have been away from her and I missed her so much. I think one night is good for now. However Jason and I went to see Valentines day and had a wonderful sushi dinner, went to bed early, slept late, cleaned the house, did all laundry, went to the grocery store, went to eat at Chuzys, went to bed early and slept late again. It was wonderful. Jason was able to get rested and ready for the big basketball tournaments that we are in the middle of. I am still very sad I was not able to go home but am so happy that all my friends enjoyed the snow and thankful for a wonderful weekend with Jason. My parents ended up being without power for several days so I am not so sure how much fun that would have been for Cater and I.

In January we got 3 inches of snow and were stuck indoors for a 3 day weekend. It all started about 11 am on a Friday. And by 1 pm it looked like this

This is a picture from our front porch. The road is in front of us you can not even see it. The street we live on has lots of hills so not many cars drove down the street. And yes we have to look at that nice RV across the street. It is usually not so visible.

Cater did not know what to think about the snow. We did not know what to think about the snow. I know since then my Texas friends have seen 8 plus inches but 3 was the most we have seen here in a long time. We made snow cream which I had not had since I was a little girl. Cater loved to eat the snow. Her poor hands were so cold but she would cry when we took the bowl away. We had such a fun couple of days hanging out and looking at the beautiful snow.

On Dec 30 Cater's best friend Harper Lynn was born. Her parents are Adrian and Brandy who are some of our best friends! Adrian is also a basketball coach in Marshall County and I met Brandy the day I moved her May 7th 2007. She found out she was pregnant a week before Cater was born. I am so excited that we have daughters born the same year and look forward to them having a friendship and growing close. We have so much to look forward to!

We had a wonderful Christmas! Our little family of 3 spent Christmas Eve and Day just us. It was wonderful!! We ate a wonderful meal on Christmas Eve watched a movie and had such fun playing Santa. Christmas day we played with Cater all day and even napped when she did. It was a perfect Christmas. The day after The Tigert Clan came over and we had a wonderful afternoon with them. What a perfect 1st Christmas!!

Thanksgiving in Texas

The day before Thanksgiving Jason, Cater and I headed out of Nashville at 5 am. We pulled into Emmie and Granddads house about 530 pm. This was the first time since Cater has been born that we would all be together. We had such fun hanging with thr family and seeing some close friends. There never seems to be enough time to fit it all in. I was able to catch up with a few friends but not everyone I would have loved to see. For some reason my camera never made it out of the bag during all the Thanksgiving fun. I was just to busy chatting and soaking up the moments with family. We had a wonderful visit and of course to complete the trip sweet Dylan made her arrival. What a perfect moment in time. We left on Sunday at 530 am and were home by 6 pm. Not so bad. Cater did wonderful in the car and loved being in Texas. She can not wait to go back in Feb to see Emmie and Grandad!!

Cater is 6 months old. I can not believe it. Cater has brought such happiness to our lives. I am so blessed that God chose us to be her parents. Cater is laid back and always has a smile on her face. We fall more in love with her everyday and can not remember life before her. Her 6 month day fell on a Sunday. We celebrated with some apples in our cereal, some present opening and ended with a baby shower for one of my best friends Brandy(who is carrying Harper, Caters best friend due in Jan). What a wonderful day we had! At Caters 6 month appointment she weighed in at 18 pounds 10 ounces and is 26 1/4 tall. She is in the 75% for weight and height. Sweet chunky little lady~~

Dylan Christine Gibson born 11-28 at 11:44 am 9 pounds 3 ounces 20 1/2 inches long and perfect. Brittney and Daniels due date was 11-25 and we just knew that Dylan would not come while we were all in town so we were beyond thrilled when they were told on 11-25 that she would be induced on 11-28. However when they had a sonogram on the morning of 11-28 they measured Dylan weighing 10 1/2 pounds give or take a pound. So they decided on a C-section and Jason and I and my sister and Blake were all in town and got to love on sweet Dylan for a while. What a perfect priceless moment. We were not able to get a picture of all 4 Gibson grand kids but next time we will! Dylan Christine we love you and can not wait to get to know you!

When I came off maternity leave I transferred from one county to the next to be closer to home. I do like what I am doing but I have had a MUCH better opportunity fall in my lap and I am no longer going to work for the Department of Children Services for TN but for Marshall County in the youth court. I will work with kids 15 and younger who are on court probation. It is not even 5 minutes from our house and the hours are 8-4. It gives me so much more time with Cater! I am so excited and can not wait to start on Nov 2nd! I will be able to go home EVERYDAY for lunch. I have never had that. I am looking forward to getting some cleaning and laundry done on my lunch break leaving my weekends completely free. God has truly blessed our family. We are so very thankful!

We went to Franklin, North Carolina over the weekend with Jason's parents and sister and brother in-law. We went to some waterfalls there and had a wonderful time hanging out. Jason's sister and her husband live in Greenville, South Carolina so we do not see them very much. They have not seen Cater since July 4th. Cater had such fun with her Nana, Pop, Aunt Jen and Uncle Norm.

Cater is 5 months. Where did the time go? Cater is growing so fast. She has us laughing everyday. Cater loves ceral, bath time and when Jason acts crazy. How can it be that Cater is 4 months old? She is growing so fast. She now weighs 14 8and is 24 3/4. She goes to bed at 6 and sleeps until 6. Cater is loving going to Sheilas and playing with her friends there. She has so much fun and we are so thankful to have someone so wonderful. Jason loves picking her up and taking her to the gym with him in the afternoon. She loves the gym. A future basketball star she may be!! Cater rolls over from back to front but will not roll front to back. Instead she puts her head down and cries. Kinda funny. She is smiling and talking all the time. She really only gets upset if she is hungry or tired. Cater is such a joy and sure does make our days so much brighter. Cater went to stay with her Nana and Pop last Saturday night so Jason and I could go see Wicked (AMAZING) and then we went to wine on the river. A super fun event where they had over 100 wine vendors and you just go around tasting! We had such a great night and Cater had such fun with Nana and Pop! I do not have any pictures of last weekend because it was pouring rain and I did not want my camera to get wet. It did stop raining long enough for us to have 3 good hours at wine on the river! Cater is also eating rice ceral and it is so funny. We laugh the whole time she is eating it. Cater no one will ever love you like we do!!

So I started back to work last Tuesday. And I like it. It is hard to leave Cater but I am enjoying going to work. So we had a trial run the week before with Cater going to Mrs. Sheilas house. I cried the whole day the first day but have been good ever since. God blessed us with an AWESOME lady that keeps a couple of sweet little ones in her home and was so happy to take Cater on as well.I have to say we got a little scared with some of the people we interviewed to take Cater. I thought I was going to have to to quit and stay home. Sheila was an answer to prayer and I thank GOD everyday for her. Jason and I are able to go to work and know that Cater is in the best hands! Cater loves the other kids and sleeps like a champ every night. We are now in a great routine and things are falling into place. Jason picks her up everyday around 330 and she goes to the gym with him and LOVES it. We may have a future basketball player on our hands!!

A long time

It has been so long since I have blogged. A lot has happened in the past 2 months. Cater is now 3 months old and growing like crazy. I can not believe how big she is getting and how fast the time is going by. Cater is smiling and talking non stop and we are soaking up every minute. We travled to Memphis the end of June as Jason was in a wedding. Jason's parents Nana and Pop came with us and stayed with Cater. We had hotel rooms right next door so it was like I was leaving her but not really leaving her. Then for July 4th Aunt Jen and Uncle Norm came to visit. To bad I had strep throat but Cater enjoyed hanging out with them. We then went to the annual pig roast at the Parish's and Cater loved watching all the kids and all the attention she got. That night Nana and Pop took Cater home with them around 930 and kept her until 8 the next morning. I missed her but enjoyed some adult time! Then we made a trip to Texas in the car. We decided to drive since I was staying for so long and wanted a car. We drove down on a Friday and Jason left by plane the following Wed. Cater and I stayed another week and a half. Jason had a hard time leaving us but had to get home for inservice. He then flew back and we all drove home. We were so sad to leave as we had such a great time with Emmie and Grandad as well as Aunt Rachel, Uncle Daniel, Aunt Brittney and Liam and Gibson. Cater meet all of my friends and their children. It was such a great time. It makes me miss Texas. Since we have been home the first of August lost has happened. Jason has gone back to work so it has been just Cater and I at home. I am loving every minute as I know that our time is close to being over. I am going back to work on Sept 8th. I have a ton of pictures to post of our trip to Texas. I will be better at blogging. It has just been so crazy and when Cater is awake I am loving all over her and when she goes to bed I fall into bed myself.

Happy one month Cater!

Cater Ann turned 1 month on Monday the 15th. I can not believe that it has been 1 month since Cater was born. The time has gone by super fast. Cater is getting so big and changing so much before our eyes. She is holding her head up and starting to smile a little at us. She is very alert and loves to look at fans, light and candles. She sleeps about 5 hours at a time at night ( Yay for us) and loves to be held and kissed on of course. She is such a joy and we are so blessed. We moved this week and things have been so crazy around here. Emmie left us on the 6th. I cried for 48 hours but adjusted and we have been doing great on our own. Jason finished with all basketball camps for the summer so now Cater and I have him all to ourselves. We are getting settled into our new home and I am trying to transfer my job to an office closer to home. I do not go back until Sept 8th but I am meeting with a different county on Monday to interview and see about transferring. So please keep me in yous thoughts and prayers. It would help us out to be closer to home. We are so in love with Cater and thank God every day for making us parents and bringing her into out lives. It is hard to imagine life without her.

Wow the time has gone by so fast. Cater is 3 weeks old today. We came home on Monday May 18th and things have been going really well. I had an epidural headache from losing spinal fluid and had to lay flat and take some pain medication. It was awful headaches. Where I was cut for the C-section did not even hurt because the headaches were so bad. But after a few weeks I am feeling so much better. Cater is a pure joy. We have had so many firsts and she is doing so well with them all. Emmie(my mom) has been here since May 20th and is leaving tomorrow. I am so sad and know that tomorrow will be a sad sad day for me. It has been so much fun having my mom here and seeing her bond with Cater. We have been spoiled and are not happy she has to go back to Texas. I have many emotions and am feeling a little overwhelmed but know that Jason and I will be alright. Jason has been super busy with basketball camps but things will be slowing down for him in the next 2 weeks. Then Cater and I get Jason all to ourselves and we are so excited. I am so in love with Cater. I cry when I look at her and can not believe she is mine. It is so crazy!! I will be better at updating since I am feeling so much better.

2 years ago today I married my Best Friend My Soul Mate my Everything. I can not believe that it has been 2 years. From the moment we met in Destin to now I have not stopped laughing. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband who always puts my needs and wants before his own. Jason you make me want to be a better person and I thank God every day for bringing you into my life for being you and for loving me! I can honestly say I do not know where I would be with out you in my life. You are loved by me in more ways than you will ever know. I love how we have grown from a family of 2 to 3. It is so amazing to look at Cater and see you and I in her. We are so blessed and I can not wait to see what God has in store for us in the next years to come. I Love You Jason more than words can ever express!

Well the time has come. Cater Ann is here and doing great. We checked into the hospital at 4 pm on Thursday and they tried to get my cervix going. After 12 hours it was a no go. So they started the induction process with some pitcion(sp). I was having contractions but my cervix was not cooperating so a C-section it was decided on. The Dr thought I would labor all day only to have a c-section later so at 9 am they told us they would start at 1230. YAY!! At 1115 I was poked 6 times to get an IV and then I got the epidural. However I could feel on my right side so seconds before they pulled out sweet Cater they gave me something to put me completely under. I heard her cry and had a few looks at her and then I was out only to wake up with all the sewing of me finished. I was back in my room around 200 and Cater was with us at 315. She came in this world at 1258 weighing 8 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches long. Which happens to be the same weight of her boyfriend Luke Sawyer when he was born. I am feeling tons better. I have had my epidural removed and am not feeling any pain at this time. I will be up and walking around tomorrow. What a perfect day. Jason was a champ and yes my heart melted when I saw him hold Cater. The memory will forever be burned into my heart!!

Today is the Day

So this is it. Last night Jason and I had our last night at home just the 2 of us. How crazy that the time is here. Well the time has really past as I am 41 weeks today and thought Cater would be here by now. Still having NO contractions!! We check into the hospital today at 4pm. I spent yesterday lounging around and sleeping. I figured why not this is my last chance. Jason and I ate Sonic and watched a little tv then were in bed by 9. Which could be a reason I am up at 4 am. Really I am just anxious. I will be spending the morning getting the house in the order I want it in for when we return home and Jason is working for the morning hours. We are going to eat a very late lunch and early dinner around 230 and then we are hospital bound. There is a slight possibility that Cater will arrive tonight but it should be tomorrow. It is crazy to think this blog will now be posts of the 3 of us and not just the 2 of us. We will celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary the end of this month. These have been the most amazing 2 years of my life. We have grown so much as a couple and fall in love more every day. We really do make a great team and I know we will make a great parenting team as well. There is no one else on earth I can imagine having this journey with. Jason is my best friend my soul mate my other half. I can not wait to see him with Cater in his arms for the first time. We have so many memories to look forward too! Cater we can not wait to meet you. Thank you God for this new chapter we are about to start! We are already so very very blessed!!

No Baby

So I went to the dr today and my dr said to me I can not believe you did not have this baby over the weekend. In my head I am thinking then take HER OUT!! I mean really. However I did have a slightly high blood pressure and NO dilation what so ever. So they sent me to the hospital(YAY) to hook me up to monitor me. Well blood pressure was great the 10 times they took it all blood work great and not one contraction in 1 hour so they sent me home(BOO). However I check in on Thursday at 4 pm to get my cervix going and they will induce me on Friday. At least we know for sure now. This does increase my chances of a c-section but I ok with that. All we pray for is a healthy baby and mama!! We can not wait to meet sweet Cater on Friday! What a magical day we have to look forward too. We will have our laptop so Jason will post pictures to the blog! Wish us luck and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!!

Due date come and gone!

Due date has come and gone and I am still pregnant. I went to the Dr yesterday and I am dilated to a 1 and I am 90% thinned out. But that is all. Cater is way head down but is not yet ready to meet us. So I go back to the Dr on Tuesday to see if I am dilated yet but no matter what I will be induced on Friday May 15. I have said all along that Cater would be here the 12th or the 14th so we shall see. Keep your fingers crossed as I am VERY uncomfortable and not sleeping at all so I am exhausted.

So yesterday was our last Friday just the 2 of us. Kinda strange to know that. Jason went to the dr with me and then we went to Barnes and Noble and looked around and read for awhile and then saw Star Trek (Jason's choice) and went to our favorite pizza place Pie in the Sky and ate. It was a great day in the rain and a perfect Last Friday just the 2 of us. This weekend is a low key weekend for us. I am so tired today as I have slept for about 7 hours total in 3 days. So today we are having a nice dinner of steak, bake potatoes and asparagus of course topped of with Ben and Jerry's Brownie Cheesecake ice cream and watching Doubt. A perfect last Saturday night just the two of us at home.

40 weeks

So 40 weeks and nothing! I go to the Dr tomorrow and will know something more then. I will say I may be nesting as I had a ton of energy yesterday and cleaned like crazy however I was only able to sleep for about 2.5 hours. So my eyes are tired and I want to sleep so very bad but I am unable too. I am also very antsy. Maybe today I will go into labor but I doubt it. So we shall see what tomorrow brings! Keep your fingers crossed.

I knew the night I met Jason and he sang 80s songs with us and knew the cheer from Bring It On that I would spend my life laughing with him! Jason is the most amazing man I have ever known. I do not know where I would be without him. He has been so wonderful through out this pregnancy and I know will be the best father Cater could ever have. We were hoping that Cater would come and meet us today but she is not ready just yet. I assume it is because she wants her own day and not to share it with her daddy. I don't blame her. I like having my own day as well. Today I think the Great Lord above and Mike and Edrie Tigert for bringing the most wonderful man onto this earth 33 years ago today. Happy Birthday Jason I love you more than you will ever know and thank God every minute that you are in my life. Thank you for being you and for loving me!

Congratulations to my wonderful brother and his FIANCE Brittney Couture. They became engaged on Saturday. For those of you that do not know I have known Brittney since she was 7 years old. I started out babysitting for Brittney and Jordan then I became part of the family. I have lived with them been on vacation with them and they celebrate all holidays with my family. I do not know where I would be today without the Couture family. Brittney is already a sister to me this just makes it official! They have been dating since last January. And on top of that they are going to be parents Dec 1. So exciting!! Cater is going to have a cousin so close to her in age. I can not wait to see what little Gibson is going to be. I love all 3 of you to pieces and am so excited for your new chapter to start!!

38 weeks

Well we are 38 weeks and just waiting. I am getting antsy and we are both so ready to meet Cater and she what she looks like. Every time I call Jason he asks are you in labor. Sadly I answer no. I am working until Wed of this week and we are keeping our fingers crossed that she will come on or before May 7th. We walked for 2 hours yesterday hoping that would stir things up but it did no such thing. She is head down and I mean WAY down which is good. So keep your fingers crossed! Cater we can not wait to meet you and give you sweet hugs and kisses. You are so very loved!

35 Really??

I can not believe that I am 35 weeks pregnant and that we only have 35 days to go. Really!? How did we get this far so fast? I am sure Cater will not get here on May 7 but I know it will not be too long after that or maybe before (wishful thinking). The time has gone by so fast yet at this point it does seem to be dragging a bit and to be honest I am sick of waiting to see what Cater will look like. I can not wait to hold her and love on her. We have a busy month ahead of us and are getting everything in order for when Cater makes her arrival. I am working until April 30. I must say I am looking forward to 18 weeks off work. YAY!!! April 30th hurry and get here.

These are 2 of my favorite people in the world and their sweet boys. I can not wait for Cater to be able to play with these sweet boys. They are about 6 weeks apart. I have known Carrie and Alli both since we were 5 or 6. And I think it is so great that our children will know each other from such a young age. I am so blessed to have such great friends that I have known my whole life. I hope Cater is as lucky as I am. Carrie and Alli are such wonderful friends and we have so many fun memories. I do not know where I would be without them in my life. Alli has given me so much advice over the years and has helped me through so much she has been such a constant friend and support. There are no words to describe the friendship Carrie and I have. She knows me better than I know myself and is the closest person to me besides my husband. We have been through it all together! It was so good to be in Texas for the weekend. Too bad I was not feeling well but still had a great time. On Friday evening I meet up with a great group of girlfriends and played Keno! It was great to see them even if I did not win we had many laughs like old times! I really miss the monthly Keno times!

The unbelievable cake that Jenn made. It was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. She made it from scratch the icing and all so awesome!

The bottom was all that was eaten so we are freezing the top and it will be used for Caters smash cake on her 1st birthday!

What a perfect weekend and a perfect 1st baby shower. I can not wait to be back in July and for Cater to meet my amazing friends!

30 WEEKS

We are approaching the 30 week mark. YAY! I am super excited. I am ready to meet Cater. We have so much going on the next 2 months that I know the time will fly by. I am going to Texas for my first baby shower with all my friends this weekend. I also get to play Keno with my great girlfriends. I miss that monthly game and girl time so much! I am pumped and have looked forward for weeks to this trip. I can not wait to see them all and of course my parents. We then are traveling to Memphis in March for a fun couple shower for us. I then have a small shower here in Lewisburg and we have another couple one in Dickson (Jason's hometown). We also will start birthing classes in April. So much to look forward too. The next weekend we have nothing going on is the 3rd weekend in April. I know then we will need to rest. Jason is still going strong! They have won the past 2 games and in turn get to host the first regional game on Saturday. I am sad that I will be in Texas and have to miss it. Jason plays tomorrow night for the district championship. He also gets his award for Coach of the Year. I am so proud of him. He works so hard and very much deserves it!

Jason and his Tigers are district champs!! They came in first place in district which is the 2nd year in a row! And to top that Jason was voted coach of the year for the 2nd year in a row! I am so proud of him. He has been so helpful during my pregnancy by taking care of the household and cooking many nights and has still been able to be an amazing coach! I am so blessed and thankful that he is my husband! I know he will be the best father in the world!! Now we are into district tournament and must win on Tuesday night to stay in! So cross your fingers and wish the Tigers luck! I will get a picture of Jason and his team to post soon.

3rd trimester here we come!

Well on Thursday I will be 27 weeks and into the 3rd trimester. YAY!! The time is really flying by and I am feeling at little overwhelmed by how quickly it is coming. We are very excited and can not wait to see what Cater looks like. I am really bad at being patient so this has been a real challenge for me! We are getting the room ready and are gearing up for all the fun showers coming up. I am making a trip home to Texas for a baby shower and can not wait to see my parents( I really want my mom more and more these past months) and all my great friends who I miss so much! I am most looking forward to seeing sweet Luke Sawyer who will be over 5 months when I see him and to see what my great friend Aimee looks like who is 3 weeks behind me! So much to look forward too!

The season is coming to an end. We have 3 more games then the district tournament starts. We are 18-5 over all and we have only lost 1 district game against Spring Hill. This is putting us in 2nd place right now. We must win the next 2 games to stay here and if we beat Spring Hill which is the last game of the season and Spring Hill does not lose its next 2 games then we will be tied for 1st. Overall the season has been a little rough with the 3 point shooter out but the Tigers are still playing well and we hope to do good in regions. I am ready for the season to be over because that means only 6 weeks until Cater and Jason can start with the growing list around the house!

1. I am extremely clumsy. I fall all the time by just walking
2. I can not stand it when the shower curtain is not closed.

4. I can not sleep without the sound of a box fan
5. I love laffy taffy and starburst and could eat them all day
6. I love route 44 ice water with extra ice from Sonic and do not mind paying 50 cents for it
7. When the heat is on in a car or I am in a crowded place my neck truns red
8. I love drinking glasses of any kind and have way too many sets
9. When I find a song I love I play it over and over again
10. I love to watch news shows about murder
11. I listen to music loudly in my car when I am by myself
12.I love listening to Dave Ramsey on talk radio
13. I can not eat meat on the bone yet I can also not touch the bone with my hands

23. I cry in alomst every movie except scary ones. I can not help it is just happens.
24. I love watching my husband coach basketball. Somtimes I pay more attention to him then the game.
25. I dropped speech 2 times in college becasue I did not want to get up in front of the class and talk. I do not like to be the center of attention when expected.

The Season

Well this is not the best basketball season this year for Jason. He lost a district game which means his team is now in 2nd place and he found out today that his player with the broken collar bone is out for the rest of the season not just 4 weeks. He is a senior and I know must be taking this very hard as is Jason. Needless to say Jason is a little stressed this season. I am however being productive and getting ready for Cater Bug to arrive. I am so looking forward to going to Texas at the end of Feb and seeing all my friends and my parents and having my first baby shower. So much to look forward too!! Wish Jason luck the rest of this basketball season. We have several district games to go!

I have been so busy with work I have not had time to post. The past week has been busy. With both of us being back at work we have been extra tired. Jason is having a great season he is 5-0 in district YAY!! However a week ago his number 1 3 point shooter (who is ranked top in the state) took a charge and broke his collarbone and is out for 4-6 weeks which puts it around tournament time. Jason is a little stressed needless to say. So this week has been stressful for him. I went to the doctor and Cater is still doing great. She sits so very low and loves to kick. She is going to be a soccer player I swear! I went with a girlfriend to see Bride Wars Saturday afternoon and it is a perfect girly movie. I loves every minute of it. This week Jason has 2 district games so wish him luck. And if one more person asks me if I am having twins or gasp when I tell them my due date is May 7th I am going to let them have it. I am short and have no torso I have no where to go but out. And people need to understand that it is rude to ask someone if they are having twins or say they are huge. It does not make me feel good!

Cater Bug

We got to see Cater Bug today. We were able to see all of her except her sweet little hands which are in fists. She is moving like crazy and looked right at us several times. We are so in love with her already and can not wait to meet our little Cater Bug! Her heart beat was 146 per minute and all is looking GREAT!! YAY! Now it is a waiting game. I am not so patient so this is a little hard for me.

We had a very relaxing New Year's Eve. We went to Brandy and Adrian's house and played games and just relaxed. Not out normal New Years Eve that is for sure but we got lots of rest which is good. Jason will have coached 4 games this week so I now he needed a low key night as he is pretty tired. He plays tonight and tomorrow but then not again until Jan 9th. But the season is going great with a 12-3 record! And so far we have won all district games. Only 2 more months. Happy 2009!

Jasons mom got me this mommy to be one! I love it!

We had such a great relaxing Christmas this year. We went to the Tigerts and had brunch opened presents and went to see The Curios Case of Benjamin Button. It was a good and different movie. I did not have my camera with me at the Tigerts I forget it more and more these days. The greatest gift this year was feeling Cater moving around in me! What an amazing feeling. I think I have felt her move several times before but I was not sure that is what it was. However Christmas Eve she was fluttering like crazy and has been ever since. What a truly amazing feeling! I can not wait for her to kick so Jason can feel. The day after Christmas I went with my mother in law and sister in law to shop and to see Marley and Me. What a great movie and a bit of a tear jerker. My week of vacation is up and I am returning to work on Monday. But at least its only a 3 day week! We have another ultrasound on Friday because of how Cater is positioned they could not see all that they needed too. Lucky for us we get to see her again!

Jason and I were flipping through the channels this evening trying to get to TBS to watch our very favorite Christmas movie A Christmas Story...when Jason stopped on the travel channel. The show was about bar food. The first stop was about a Oyster Bar in Boston that we went to on our honeymoon which made him stop so we could see a few minutes of it. The next thing I know they are at good ole J Gilligan's talking about Irish Nachos! Who knew?? We were laughing so hard about such a HOLE in the wall place! Jason has never experienced the Irish Nachos even though we have been there for several block parties! He insists that next time we are in Arlington he must try them! Now I am going to crave them for weeks!! Now we are going to watch A Christmas Story just like we do every year.

GIRL!!!

Cater Ann Tigert

Cater is my mothers maiden name which stopped due to my grandparents having only girls. We love the name and thought it was a great way for it to live longer!! Ann is my and my mother's middle name so it only seems perfect!
We are tickled pink and can not wait for the delivery of sweet Cater!

We made our parents these frames to let them know what we are having and the name as it has been a surprise!

We will be 20 weeks on Friday and are thankful to be halfway through!! Only 20 more weeks to go...we cannot wait to meet Cater! I know these 20 weeks will not go as fast as the first 20 did!

Yesterday I went for my monthly check and things are going well. The heartbeat is at 155 and brought me to tears this time. It is crazy how quickly I cry these days! Really!! The due date is May 9th but she said after the ultrasound it could change by a day or 2. So we will know soon what we are having! I will keep you all posted. We have a name that will work both ways only the middle name will change but we are not telling until we know if its a boy or girl. We are happy to be close to halfway there!!

I am feeling much better! I have my energy back and am sleeping better than I have ever slept! I will be sad when that goes in the 3rd trimester! I am showing which is crazy and scary!! And complete strangers rub my belly which I find odd every time. I mean if I know you great but if not then please keep your hands off. I would never go up to someone and rub their belly if I did not know them.

Coming back from Texas is always a little hard. And coming back to work after 5 days off is really hard. But looking out my office window and seeing the snow fall like crazy does bring a smile to my face! It is not cold enough to stick but it sure is beautiful coming down!! As I was driving to work this morning I could see snow flurry's. Very exciting. The high for today is 40! I love the cold! I am feeling much much better this past week. I have my energy back and my appetite for sure! I am looking forward to this trimester!! Jason has started with games this week. They won in a very exciting game against a team ranked 8th in the state however they lost last night. It is not a district game and they are a way bigger so in the end not so bad!! Next week he has a game on Monday at home and then plays his alma mater Dickson County at Dickson on Tuesday. The whole town of Dickson will turn out for that one! And then we are off to Texas! We are super excited to come to Texas to see family, friends and to meet sweet Luke Sawyer!! This will be the 1st time since June 2007 at our Arlington reception that the Gibson family will be together! I can not wait to see everyone most of all Liam and Gibson!! We have so much to be Thankful for!!

Heartbeat

We heard the heartbeat on Friday! 160 beats per minute! It sounded much like a train. The minute she put that thing on me she found it. It took no time at all. What an amazing sound!! We are thrilled it is becoming all that more real! I go back on Dec 4th for my next appointment.

Jason has only had scrimmages at this point. His first game is next week. He is scouting and practicing like crazy! We are busy busy!!

Oh and on Saturday we got gas for $1.85!! We will take it!!

I love this time of year. I love to see the leaves change, the cooler weather, sitting by the fire, wearing sweatshirts, the smell of pumpkin, and the holidays being so near. However it also means for the Tigert family that the basketball season is upon us! Jason is able to start practice today. Which means longer work days for Jason along with 2 games a week and LOTS and LOTS of scouting other teams and film watching. His first games is Nov 18 however he does have 4 scrimmages before that! I guess there goes all the great cleaning and cooking he has done the past 2 months as well as our fun weekends together! I know this will be a great season; I am looking forward to seeing the Tigers win and watching my cute husband in action! GO TIGERS!! And to think this time next year Little Tiger will be cheering daddy on!

First Trimester almost over!

Well I have not had the energy to post much lately. All I do is SLEEP(which I can not seem to get enough of) and work. I hear and have read that in the next few weeks I should not be so tired but so far I am still tired. There are so many things that people do not tell you about being pregnant. And I must say I guess in a way I am glad but in a way a few side effects hit my like a ton of bricks! I am so thankful that I took a wonderful friends advice and read the book Pregnancy Sucks When Your Miracle Makes You Miserable... without this book I would have been shocked and lost at the things that your body does when you are pregnant. It is the best book I read it cover to cover in 2 days and refer back to it often. I am feeling better now and seem to have gotten everything under some control. I just want to say that Jason has been so AMAZING!! He cooks, cleans, brings me breakfast in bed, makes my lunches and tucks me in bed every night by giving me a back rub. There are several other things Jason has helped me with and I can honestly say that I do not know what I would have done if he was not at home to help me. I must say I was humiliated but he made the situation smooth and now it is a very very very funny story that we laugh at often. I can honestly say that he is ready for birth NO PROBLEM!! I am so thankful that in the next couple of weeks we will be in the 2nd trimester and I hope to be better at keeping up the blog!

Adding to the Family

So Jason and I are expecting a little Tiger in May. We are so very excited and so very blessed. I kinda knew the first of Sept when I was in Denver but wanted to wait til I got home and could be with Jason. I got home before him and could not wait so I took it and then screamed and cried for several minutes. The second he walked in the door I blurted it out! He got tears in his eyes and look I will never forget!
After some discussion we decided to tell my family right then. There was no way I could wait. My mom and sister kinda knew from how I was acting in Denver and the fact that I had no drinks at the birthday party they had for me. So we called my family and told them. I always thought I would surprise them in some way but we are not going to see them til Thanksgiving and there is no way I could keep that in. However Jason's parents will be first time grandparents and that very weekend we were going to see them to celebrate my mother in-laws birthday! The funny thing is the Thursday before we were going to see them we ended up at the Vanderbilt game with them. She talked about how by the time her children had any kids she would be in a nursing home. It was so hard to keep my mouth shut. But I did and the next Sunday we meet them at The Loveless Cafe for brunch. I handed them each a gift bag and said it was something I picked up for them in Denver. The look on their faces was priceless!! They are thrilled to say the least and I am so happy I was able to keep my mouth shut and surprise them! We went to the doctor and things are looking good. We are due May 9th!! Other than being so very tired and nauseous things are going good.

I have been home from Denver for a week now but I have been busy with work at stuff that I have not had time to post until now. My mom and I had such a wonderful time! We arrived on Saturday morning and the fun began. We went to Rachel and Blake's and hung out with them and the boys. That evening we made our own pizza's and had a birthday party for me. Wow so many celebrations for me this year. Liam drew me a picture of Princess Leah and Princess Padama and picked out a gingerbread baby charm from James Avery for my charm bracelet. So wonderful! I have really missed his face.
