Texas

It was so good to go home and see my family and friends. However it was not good being in that HEAT!! I forgot how awful that is. And I really have to remember how to drive aggressively! People in Texas are not near as friendly as here in TN. The drivers that is. They cut you off, drive as if they are in a Nascar race, ride your tail, do not let you over and honk every chance they get. Here people wave at you and are much more laid back. Plus no one really speeds. What a difference. However I miss my family and friends and it was hard and sad to leave. I am excited to come home for Thanksgiving and thankful that it will not be HOT!!

Jason and I meet Karen at Snuffers in Southlake to have lunch. I have not been there in years and Jason has never eaten there. After a yummy lunch I went with Karen to her house to visit and have girl time while Jason went to a bookstore to read and have some quiet time.

Jason and I then went to visit Tammy and Alex in Colleyville who I use to work for. We visited with them for a couple of hours at Tammy's home.

Then it was off to see Carrie, Stephen and Aimee at Pappasitos in North Arlington. I had tears in my eyes when I saw Carrie. I mean I knew she was pregnant but seeing her made it REAL! I loved rubbing her belly. It was great to see Aimee and hear about the great man in her life!! What great friends.

On Friday I hung out with Brittney and Jordan. We got manis and pedis and then got our eyebrows threaded. So cool!! I have always wanted to do that and it was so great! I hope to find a place here in Nashville. Jason and Daniel went to see Batman. Then we had a family dinner at my parents house. My mom made her famous lasagna and after we played Spades. Jason and I won of course. And we are prepared to beat Daniel and Brittney again in Nov!!

Shower time!! Megan, Holly and I threw Carrie's first baby shower. It was so fun to see everyone and to look at all the great stuff Carrie received for Luke!! Stephen took Jason to the horse races on Saturday during he shower. Jason loves the races and we were not going to be able to fit that into our trip. So we were so excited that Stephen planned too. We stayed the night with them in the new house. We loved seeing where they live now and to see Luke's nursery.

After the shower fun us girls headed to On the Border to catch up with some cold beer and yummy food.

On Sunday we met my Aunt Jere and Bill at Uncle Julio's in Grapevine for lunch. This is by far Jason and I favorite Mexican food. There fajitas and shrimp are so good!

We then went to see Jill and her sweet family. Jill and her husband have 2 girls 4 and almost 2. They are so sweet and we so MUCH enjoyed getting to see them and catch up for a few hours. Jill came to see Jason and I back in April. Hopefully next time we will meet them in Tunica.

We ended the visiting at a Thai restaurant in Arlington with Michelle. Brittney and Jordan. It was good to see all of them together.
