Denver

Jason and I headed to Denver on April 19th at 6 in the morning. This meant we had to wake up at 3 to get to the airport on time. But we landed in Denver at 8 and in time for the soccer game. Liam scored a goal! So great. We had a fabulous dinner with Rachel and Blake at their favorite restaurant and they were pumped because they were kid free for a few hours. Rachel was in need of some adult time! We spent the most of the week hanging out and enjoying Liam and Gibson. Jason played football, basketball and baseball with Liam everyday! Poor Jason...he is sore from all the running! Jason and Blake went to several wineries and breweries as well as the Johnny Walker taste test! Rachel and I went and saw 21 and went to Sushi Den. Sushi Den has its fish flown over from Japan daily! It was so very very good! We went to several awesome restaurants. Blake tried hard to get us to move to Denver. I sure wish we could! I would love to live close to them and to be able to see those boys all the time! They are a true joy and Rachel and Blake are such amazing parents. We only hope we can be as great as they are! I have to say I cried when I left and find myself thinking about what they are doing every minute. When Liam wants to do something and he thinks you might say no he says I have a good idea. I told Jason on the plane I have a good idea lets stay a few more days wouldn’t that be a great idea!?

I put Liam down for bedtime and naptime several times in Denver. You first read a story then Liam reads the story then you sing a song and pray. Then Liam looks at you with those BIG blue eyes and says will you lay with me for 4 minutes. How can you say no to that? That was one of my favorite things to do. While laying wth Liam he would talk to you about funny things and ask funny questions. I love that kid! This is his bed that he loves so very much! Way cool!!

We took Liam to Build a Bear. Liam built a dog with a Denver Bronco uniform on. It was Jay Cutler of course. Liam built Gibson a bear with a fire suit on. We had such a fun time. What an amazing store!
