On Friday I was driving to a home visit in the pouring rain when my Jetta began to over heat. I thankfully was 1 mile from a car shop so I drove there and they got it right in. At first they thought the thermostat needed to be replaced. So that was fixed in about 30 minutes. Then they told me that was not it and they would have to replace the water pump and the timing belt because they have to cut the timing belt to get to the water pump. However they said since they did have to cut the timing belt they would not charge me for the labor for replacing it. Oh how nice. Well the total came to $694. The total for parts $190. That means this place charges $85 an hour for labor. Are you kidding me! I had no choice but to leave my car there and I was over an hour away from where we live so to tow would have I am sure come out to the same price. But $85 an hour I must be in the wrong business!
In our home on Saturday Jason had to have the Memphis hat on the television the same way it was for the game last weekend(and must remain there until Memphis wins tonight.) Jason had to sit in the same place and drink the same thing. It worked! Memphis is playing for the title tonight. I know what my home will be like this evening. Lets go Tigers!!
Who ever decided that sports banquets are a necessary event is crazy! Yesterday we had the girls and boys basketball and the cheerleader banquet. The food was nasty (way to spend all that booster club money) and it lasted all afternoon. The talking went on from 3 and lasted until 4:30. Are you serious! Jason's boys were miserable. The girls I know enjoyed the event but from now on Jason will not put his boys our ourselves through all that misery!
The greatest part of this weekend is Jill a wonderful friend from Arlington came to visit us this weekend! We had such an amazing time. Jill came in Friday evening and we took her to our favorite mexican restaurant in Franklin called SOL. We had a fabulous dinner and went home for drinks. On Saturday Jill and I spent the morning over coffee talking and catching up. We tried to make it into the Mule day festival in Columbia but it was so crowed so we had lunch and then treated ourselves to a mani pedi. So wonderful! When we returned home Memphis was winning and Jason was on edge screaming and yelling at the tv but we watched the end of the game with him and laughed at how much he gets into it. We then treated Jill to a night on the town Lewisburg style. We went to the Elks Lodge. So classy. But hey a Grey Goose martini is only #3.73 and beer is $1.25. You can not beat that. Plus Jason is an Elk and we must take advantage of the Lodge since we do pay $95 a year for dues! I was sad to see Jill go but am so thankful and honored that she came to see me!

This is not from this weekend but from a year ago in Arlington. I for some reason did not take any pictures. How strange!
